I was born in 1992 in Nashville, Tennessee and grew up in the Nashville area my whole life. I caught the fishing bug at age 11, and at age 12 I joined a catfishing forum online and used the screen name "catman529" which uses my birth date 5/29 since "catman" was already taken. The name stuck around, and to this day I use it on my channel and a few social media.

 

I like to film my hunts just as much as I like hunting itself, and it's my goal to bring the viewer into the woods with me through my videos. I will often take a camera fishing as well, but there are plenty of times I will cast a line without a care about filming a video. I started my YouTube channel in 2010 and didn't do much to grow viewership or subscribers. I always thought if I just uploaded videos I thought were worthwhile, and deleted the less interesting footage, the channel would grow on its own. It took a while, but it has grown a lot over the past few years. So I continue to do what I love, and am glad many people follow me into the woods and on the water.
